Having your techs print out copies of the individual transfers that they’re doing near daily and keeping them on-hands for six months (and threatening that you’re going to check in on them “to see if they actually have their folder in order”) but not teaching them the right way to do the transfers in the first place isn’t going to make you look like you’re smart and in-charge.  

It makes you look like a micro-managing asshole and makes your techs fucking hate you.

But I’m not staying an extra two hours when I have a second job to go to. You’re the one who does the schedule. You promised to promote me to a manager and then didn’t.

Sorry

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have been really busy with work and have not had the time to write. Some good news, I may have told you, but I’m going to say it again because it’s really good news. I made it into my managers program at work. I start at my new store in January where I’ll be training. I’m excited and nervous, the new drive will be about 35 minutes from my house, and the new store is about half the size of my current store. When I have to get to work by 6am I will have a hard time waking up at like 4:30 (made up time, no idea how long it will actually take), so I can get there on time. Ok so time for the stories.

Today a customer was using their own bag at our self checkout machines, they go through the steps and it goes smoothly, but they put too many and it sets off the weight sensors, not moments later the lady starts furiously tapping the help button on the machine. She was giving it the nastiest looks I have seen a person given the machine.

My manager is an idiot. When a customer came to pick up we were missing a few groceries. I go out to the customer and tell him he may be missing some items. Fast forward, I was running up and down the isles looking for an item for a customer and find the cart full of the customers items. I tell my manager and my coworker said she would take it. I go and help someone else who pulled up to get the online order. My manager then says that I have to take the order to the customer. I said that the coworker would and that she wanted to take it. And just to be a dick he argued it with me. Like ya your the manager but if you have some one volunteering for a job, then let them do it. He was doing it just to spite her. My manager is a stupid twat who is a child.

Not What We Discussed

Finally got to talk about my head manager about my schedule. When I told them I couldn’t keep doing opening five days a week, I needed to cut down to four days a week.

They said that wasn’t what we had discussed before. Which is true. I previously asked if I could get a day off every three weeks or so. That was about a month ago. You said no.

We also discussed becoming a Crew Trainer, and me becoming a manager, over THREE months ago. That never happened. People a hell of a lot less qualified then me keep getting promoted though. One of the managers told me so themselves, saying they got promoted to a manager while only knowing grill. Heck, several of the managers have wondered why I haven’t been promoted when it’s brought up.

I didn’t say any of that though, even if I wish I did. But I put my foot down about needing that day off. I can’t keep doing what I’ve been doing, and the manager has had a ton of time to train people to do this shift too, and they haven’t.

But... yah. Fuck it. I gave you a chance, head manager. If you’re not going to do what you agreed to do, I’m going to raise a fuss. I owe you shit.
