hi i'm just some total rando who was browsing the dashcon tag and i saw your post about rmfc... what's happening with dashcon is a pretty rare occurrence with cons (hence why it is such a big deal haha). rmfc has been going on for 7 years and i think it probably has its shit together by now!! :') going to your first con can be scary (i just went to mine this summer too!!) but you're pretty likely not to run into any dashcon-type fuckery with an established con. i hope you have a lot of fun!!

Aha, yeah I know DashCon is a one of its kind type of deal and that there are reports that the con itself (as in the con-goers ect.) are fine but the circumstances around it are dubious at best- but it’s more just the unpleasant reputation it rubs off on grassroots cons. Although, as you said, RMFC is fairly well established and reputable- I haven’t heard of much drama besides personal ones from it, other than the usual affairs in the fact that it’s a fur con. :x

But anyway, my issues with RMFC stem from more than just the drama with DashCon right now and have been a long time coming, ahaha. ;;; I debated for a long time on whether I should get tickets for it or not just because I, ah, am embarrassed about the social stigma that surrounds furries. :x;;;; But thanks for your well-wishes! I appreciate it and it definitely makes me feel better about it all. ;o; So thank you!!
