it was alessandra’s turn to close and lock up the coffee shop today. after she made sure everything was clean and put in its place, she fed the cats, replaced their water with fresh water, then stepped out of the cafe and locked down the place. glancing at her phone screen, she couldn’t help but notice it was pretty late. she didn’t fancy the idea of walking home by herself at night, but she didn’t really have an alternative. she put the keys back in her bag and tightened the jacket around her body, trying to keep herself warm. a stranger passed by her and something shiny fell out of their pockets. sandy walked a little faster and bent down to take whatever they dropped. when she noticed it looked like a house key, she tried to get the stranger’s attention. ❛ um, excuse me, sir ? i think you dropped this and it looks pretty important — ❜ the street light sparked and flickered, creating a game of light and shadows on his face as he turned around. but even so, alessandra recognized him in a second. it would have been hard to forget his face, even after all these years. ❛ pedro ? although his name came out of her mouth like a question, she knew it was him. she couldn’t be more sure of it. ❜ ( @stvrcrcssed )
