Honestly, it had been a while since he had separated from his family. Lost, in
a way, he had left their apparent ‘home’ to get away from it all. Kala still talked to
him, as odd as it was. He needed to, in order for Death to do what it must. But
contact with Evelyn was minimal, if not non-existent. He, at this point, had nearly
forgotten that he wasn’t the only entity.
Perhaps this was the awakening he needed.
Sitting out alone in town, middle of the night under the stars above with a
book in his hand, it was times that he felt most relaxed. Outside of a (thankfully)
24 hour cafe that had soon became one of his favorite relaxing places, he was
getting over the day that he had. Being able to just be himself, no fear of the
judgement or ridicule, or the questions that people would always ask him, he
was at his happiest. Hearing someone though, especially at this time was odd,
so maybe that was why he had stopped, and looked up hearing the foot steps.
What he saw was enough for him to completely forget to keep his ‘cover’.
❛ Oh my... aren’t you a starling? One of uh, the Galaxy’s children? Whatever
are you doing here? You aren’t lost... are you? ❜ Standing up, setting down his
book, he removed his glasses slightly, light hair an absolute mess. However, his
smile was nothing but pure and nice, and he slightly bowed to the Starling,
running a hand through his hair.
❛ I don’t think I’ve seen one of you in quite a while... My apologies little one.
My name is Octavius, or you might know me better as Death, seeing as that..
kinda is who I... am.... A-Anyways. I can’t say the last time that I can recall
seeing one of you or your siblings. What are you doing so far from home as
young as you are? I.. don’t really remember much about any of you, I apologize.
Would uh... would you like to join me here for some tea? ❜
