It wasn't often she had to bite her tongue so hard with customers, but here she was. Apparently the recent, frantic job search had worn her nerves just a little thin. "Sorry, those new-job nerves, I guess - I didn't get any on you did I?" Through the motions she went with carefully tailored sweetness, sopping up the spilled drink quickly. Customary, apologetic smile never faltering. Might be a new establishment for her, but definitely not a new routine.

“Oh yeah, I know how that feels.” He gave a light hearted chuckle at her from the other side of the bar while inspecting the remainder of his drink. “Speakin’ of jobs, Lookin’ for work, you know of anythin’ going? big deals, don’t want my time wasted with little nuisances you know? Got a call the other day from some grandma sayin’ her cat was stuck in a tree.”

The shift in conversation seemed to chill some of her annoyance. Her mind shifting from various little defenses to the...actually very normal question. White brows pinched a little in thought, her gaze shifting off of him for a moment. “hm...I.. guess it depends on what skills you have to offer - or want to offer.”  Pale eyes gave the young man another quick scan, her head tilting and faint smile taking on the smallest knowing color.  “...would I be wrong, assuming you don’t mind a little scuffle now and then..?” It was a little of a risk, assuming things like that, but given the look of him, she figured it a fairly educated one.
