Okay this looks fun, so 💞 (tbh I don’t even know what MY style is so hopefully you can figure it out for me XD)
For the prompt, maybe…. (slow) Recovery?
aksdjflha so I know this was probably supposed to be angsty but my brain latched onto a fluffier idea and wouldn't let it go XD
some of the things I tried to get here were your dialogue-focused narratives, specifically the way you tend to have your dialogue convey things like setting, information, and action. You also write dialogue in a way that you don't usually need tags to figure out the mood of the words! When you do use tags, they're strong descriptive words :D As this became a group ficlet, I had to use more tags than not for identification purposes tho oof
also I dug out past tense for the first time in almost a year just for you 😘
want me to try writing something in your style? check out this post here!

"I feel like I'm roasting alive."
"You don't say," Nya deadpanned.
Lloyd glared at her, but she only laughed.
"And now you just look vaguely in pain."
"I am in pain!" Lloyd whined, crossing his arms. He immediately regretted it when the action pressed his sweaty underarms against his body, wincing at the way the fabric of his shirt stuck to his skin.
On a normal day, going to the new amusement park in the city would not have him feeling this miserable. Far from it. But given that he was currently sweltering through his long-sleeved shirt in the 80-something-degree heat, his attitude was definitely understandable.
"Ugh. This is the worst."
"Hey, this is what you get for getting a tattoo at the start of summer," Nya pointed out unhelpfully.
Jay grinned. "We tried telling you to wait, but noo, you were too impatient to get it now. You've got no one to blame for your current predicament but yourself, kid."
Lloyd uncrossed his arms. The heat was just too much. "I still think this is overkill. My artist said it should be fine to just use sunscreen."
Jay rolled his eyes. "Yeah, for a normal person maybe. I've learned that with you, it's better to be too safe than sorry."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I mean, just think about it!" Jay held up his hands and started ticking items off of his fingers. "First, there was that time that you were literally out in the middle of nowhere and still managed to get captured by a robotic dragon. And then that time that you went to do a routine check-in call and got freaking possessed by a ghost! Oh, and what about when-"
"Okay, fine, I get it," Lloyd scowled, cutting him off. "So I don't have the best track record when it comes to stuff. Come on, though. This isn't a life-or-death mission. It's just a tattoo."
Jay scrunched up his nose. "Yeah, still not gonna take those chances. You'll find some way to get yourself infected and lose your entire arm."
"No one is losing an arm," interjected Kai, looking queasy at the thought. "Don't even joke around about something like that."
"Why, because you think it's possible?"
"It's not possible," Lloyd snapped. He rolled his eyes when Jay pouted in his direction.
Kai rolled his eyes too. "Whatever. I was just coming over here anyway to ask who's going where."
"We're splitting up?"
"Well, yeah, some of us are babies about roller coasters."
"I'm not being a baby by not wanting to be strapped to a heart-attack machine," Cole defended himself.
"But you climb mountains!" Jay argued.
"That's different. I'm in control there."
"Control of what, falling to your death?"
Zane made a small sound in his throat. "Seeing as how Cole is the Master of Earth, such an accident would be unlikely."
"But never impossible," Jay finished in a low voice.
Cole shook his head. "Why do I put up with you guys, honestly."
"Aww, come on, Cole." Nya batted her eyelashes at him, making her eyes big and round. "It's because you love us!"
Cole squinted at her. "Zane, maybe. Not you."
Jay made an outraged noise. "How could you!"
"Okay, okay!" Lloyd shouted, stepping between them and holding out his hands to keep them apart. "Can we please just go already? At least if I die here, I can die doing something more interesting than standing around and listening to you arguing."
Nya harrumphed. "Fine. Well, Jay and I are going to hit up all the rides. If any of you losers want to tag along, I guess you're welcome to."
"No thank you. Zane and I are going over to the lazy river like the sane people we are."
Lloyd perked up. "Wait, a lazy river? Is there a waterpark here?" His outlook on the day immediately brightened. Water would feel so good right now against his overheated skin- he could almost feel its coolness already-
Jay shattered his dreams with a loud snort. "Yeah, and you can't go in, idiot. Remember why you're even in sleeves in the first place? For your sleeve."
Nya laughed out loud. "Nice one."
Lloyd glared at both of them. "You're not funny!"
"I think I'm hilarious. Aaaand, that's our cue to go. See you all later!"
The two of them took off shouting down the street, away from Lloyd and the green fire gathering in his hands. Lloyd unclenched his fists with a long groan. Great. Now I'm even sweatier!
Kai patted him lightly on the shoulder, avoiding the large damp spot on his shirt. "C'mon, bud. I'll get you some Dippin' Dots."
