Change can be refreshing 🙃
What I look like. I dont see enough interpretations of myself with long hair, or horns, or a tail, much less all three
I have that Intersex Transmasc swag (fun fact, I was also a system in source and they are Here too as a subsys)
Style tests I was doing featuring Sailor Lily, 90′s American Saturday morning Gray, and Gorillaz Ghost
Some character design tests from yesterday and tonight. I’m working on a new illustration for my Draw this again Challenge, and my original characters weren’t particularly interesting.
And since I’m trying to get better at Character concept art, it behooves me to put all my skills on display and try to crank out a good design, whilst also practicing due diligence as to the process (research, reference, thumbnailing, turnarounds, character questions, etc.)
This portion is tied to the reference/ research phase. I looked specifically at the films/shows in my youth with mouse characters;
- The Great Mouse Detective;
- The Secret of NIMH;
- The Rescuers down under;
- Mickey Mouse;
- Mighty Mouse (though that wasn’t something I grew up with, per se);
- Mouse Guard (I had read the first book as a teen);
- Chip -N- Dale, Rescue Rangers
- Redwall.
I listed them here, as it always surprises me that there are lots of games with anthropomorphic characters, but they’re usually of animals of fairly large size. It seems only the animators of yore took us to the smaller, unseen worlds of mice, insects and toys. Strange.
Anyway, this post is what I’d consider a digital snack, to tide everyone over until my next big post. Good night!
I can’t believe I’m still doing style tests with this project cus I still don’t know where it’s good.
I finally figured out how to do lineless! I wanted to do some tests with the Dreemurrs and i really like how they turned out!!!
I haven’t been here in a while lol
I’m a lil busy but since I have free time I draw a lil more y///y
different stylizations and stufff
Flashlight at an angle
Tried drawing Six in a more canon style
According to the model, Flashlight has a third section of long hair in the back, so I decided to try it. I'll probably stick to 2.
Buddies! The caption says "siblings", but for now, no one knows if that's true.
