I’ve been making a conscious effort for a while now when it comes to my fashion. I’m buying fewer pieces, buying more ethical fashion, shopping local, buying from girl boss businesses, and from rural and regional shops when on holiday. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve also stepped up my efforts to reduce the impact of my fashion by laundering less and airing more, altering and mending, as well as being more mindful of the products I use. White vinegar with a drop of an essential oil scented blend is a much better fabric softener in all senses. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I still have far too many clothes and shoes and bags. I have too many special show pony pieces that I don’t wear very often. And I still buy some fast fashion. I’m a WIP. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The bushfire catastrophe has brought ethical and sustainable front of mind. We all know we need to do better; some have more steps in their journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a family, we have all been more mindful when it comes to waste and consumption. There is much more that we can do and we are challenging ourselves to keep making improvements. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today’s outfit is by the amazing Australian ethical @doopsdesigns, made in the Byron Bay hinterlands from 100% linen.
