As someone who has had super thick and long hair for a good portion of my life, and as someone who worked in beauty retail for more than 8 years, I’ve tried out quite a few different heat styling tools. One thing that immediately makes this one different, is the fact that it never goes above 250 degrees Fahrenheit. I love that this has a safety feature where it will cycle between hot and cold air to prevent this tool from overheating, unlike some other tools that I’ve tried from other brands and ended up accidentally burning my fingers because the attachments ended up so hot. I did not have that problem with this tool! I loved the fact that this has such a long cord, it allows me to maneuver the tool around my head at ease without having to worry about how close I was to an outlet. I love that it has four temperature settings (three heat, and one cool), as well as three speeds. I also love the fact that the pitch of this tool didn’t hurt my ears, unlike competitor products.
One reason for removing a star is the fact that not all of the heads worked out for me, and the fact that the brush head had a ton of bristle shedding before I even used it for the first time. I had so many bristles fall out during the unpacking process, I was pretty worried about how it would look after the first use. Luckily, enough of the bristles stayed in place that I was able to still enjoy that attachment, and it ended up being my favorite. I really wanted to like the straightening attachment, but it didn’t really work out for me. The brush ended up straightening my hair even better than the other attachment. The comb attachment didn’t do much for my either, but that’s okay. Overall, I enjoyed this more than competitors that I had tried out recently.
