Stylish Students
My final 4 images for Stylish students. I really like the neutral tones in these images as I feel they compliment the skin tones really well. I like the simplicity of the posing and the shallow depth of field really helped separate the subject from the background.

At first when I was out shooting I didn't really have a theme in mind and just wanted anyone to let me take their picture however, as I went on I began to look for reds and pinks to help bring my four images together. I also added a light colour grade to my images in post production.

As part of this task we had to go outside and ask strangers to pose for us. The only thing is they should look stylish (very subjective).
I have no problem with talking to strangers. I noticed many students actually are afraid to ask strangers for anything. I used to work in places where I had to start conversations with strangers, I’m bit older and more experienced I guess too. Hence this part of the project was very easy for me.
There wasn’t many stylish (in my opinion) people that day on the streets but still managed to get some pictures to complete the project.
I usually ask them using some compliment as people like to hear they look good. Also mention I’m a student and it’s just for the college purpose and won’t be used anywhere else unless they want it. I like to show them the pictures I take of them as they might not like something and then we can make it the way they like (like wrong angle or messy hair that for them can be a big deal). I always share images with them later so they can have use of them .
I must say I like interacting with people and shooting portraits so this task was quite enjoyable and fun.

Stylish Students
Stylish Students was a project to get your confidence up talking to people as you were tasked to go out and look for students that you think have good style and ask them for a photo.
