Off-Topic: 2016-2017 Autumn/Winter Fashion Trends
You might already know that I went to Stylist Live twice this year, once as a standard ticket holder and again as a VIP. That meant I got to see my favourite part twice – the catwalk show. Yes, I know a couple of months have passed since Stylist Live 2016 but that has just given me the opportunity to see how Stylist curated their show against what the magazines say the trends are. I’m happy to…

Update
Hi!! So it seems I have been a very busy girl lately and I haven’t had chance to post in a while. After coming back from Florida (I had an amazing time and will post the best bits in a separate post) I have been in a bit of a slump with writing. Loads of plans with little down time so here’s a quick update of things I’ve been up to!
Thorpe Park
A couple of weekends ago we ventured to Thorpe Park after getting 12p promotional tickets, wooo! I have to say, after just coming back from Disney, I wasn’t as excited for the rides as I should have been but ended up pleasantly surprised. I went on everything apart from the new attraction, Derren Browns Ghost Train. I hate anything scary and virtual reality gives me a headache so I gave it a miss. The highlight for me was definitely the rollercoaster ‘Swarm’. It was incredible and I loved how much they put into the theme of the ride. Overall a great day out and I’m looking forward to going back when it’s slightly less rainy!
Stylist Live
I got free tickets for stylist live through the magazine Emerald Street which I am so grateful for. I wasn’t too sure what to expect of the day but it turned out to be great. I went and watched a catwalk, which was interesting. I could never see myself or anyone else I know wearing anything from catwalk shows but it was fun to watch. We got a free drink on arrival and there were lots of little pop up shops to wander around. My favourite part of the day was watching a talk with the author of The Girl on the Train about the book going to cinema. It was so interesting and even managed to get my book signed!
Catching up
After been away for 2 and a half weeks me and Fraser had our friends to catch up with. It’s always my favourite time catching up with friends over food and drinks and it makes you appreciate having special people in your life.
Editing
Lots of footage. So much processing. Too little hours in the evening to get it done. Every time we go away we like to make a holiday video as a memory to look back on. As I’m the wannabe editor I take on the challenge of going through hours and hours of footage (Fraser singing to the camera) to make a memorable video we can all laugh at. This takes time and is part of the reason I haven’t been able to update my blog. But it should be done by Christmas and I’ll be able to spend more time here, yey!
Fraser’s 25th birthday!
It was Fraser’s birthday! I spent a full day while he was at a football game, yes a FULL DAY, baking him the best cake I’ve ever made. It was full of his favourite things, biscuits. I love to make every birthday feel like the most special day so I went full birthday mode putting up banners and buying an extra special Disney balloon. It was a lovely weekend spending quality time together, even if the cake did give us a sugar high!
Wedding Show
I went to a wedding show. No, I’m not engaged or planning a wedding. I went for a girls day out and it was the best girly day out I’ve had! I don’t care how judged I got when people asked me what I did that weekend, I LOVE weddings and everything girly about them and so does one of my closest friends so what a better way to spend a weekend?! We tried so many free samples of cakes and champagne, got loads of freebies and cooed over the princess dresses all day. It was amazing. Video to come shortly!
Florida post to come shortly, we had the best time!

What to expect at Stylist Live 2016: Standard vs VIP
What to expect at Stylist Live 2016: Standard vs VIP This year I attended Stylist Live twice – once as a standard ticket holder and once as a VIP. Last year I attended on a standard ticket only and was quite impressed so I expected even more from my VIP ticket. Here are the differences I spotted. On arrival Standard On arrival my wrist was stamped and I was given a little token for one Chambord…
