Su19b side: https://ssu19bb.bandcamp.com/album/split-ep-w-sea-of-shit So my favorite pv band is back after the absolute ripper they released in 2016 with Sick/Tired, they had 2 splits in the following year. The first one is with Japanese sludge/grind band Su19b who are a rather interesting band - more on them later, but what does S.O.S. bring here? Pretty much what they always do, the dirty, raw pv with tortured vocals, what’s new is the interlude called Contamination Effect, which isn’t really off the mark, and the closing track after it is completely mental. Su19b on the other end comes up with one track that starts off with some noise and then turns into a kind of “Coffins goes grindcore” effort. When i last heard them, they were more of a regular sludgy pv band, so this kind of evolution was really surprising in a good way. From 2 minutes the track goes absolute bonkers. This made me ashamed for not following these Japanese guys around, quickly i corrected my mistake. Amazing split.
