Rock School: The Real School of Rock
The movie School of Rock was released about two years ago and was a successful medium in size. People were attracted to Jack Black's crazy teacher who taught the boys the finer points of hard core rock and roll. What I and many other people did not know it was Jack Black's character seems to be inspired by Paul Green - which teaches students aged 9-17 to learn to play rock music documentary by Don Argott's Rock School takes us inside. The Paul Green School of Rock, in some ways absolutely hilarious. Paul Green is one of the most memorable "characters" of the film recently. Green, a former rocker himself, decided to teach children to play, when his career did not take off. It has a little 'a set of Peter Pan as he is a really big dumb guy. One who does not mind yelling and screaming insults at his students. His whims, sometimes they are so top border on madness and the children seem to understand this for the most part. We follow beginning students looking to master Black Sabbath songs and then go to the upper classes where they learn the complex music that Frank Zappa product. All students get to play with a certain level depending on their capacity. The master class has traveled to Germany for a Zappa festival in the year it was produced the documentary. During the photo we focus on several students, but the two that stood out most were Will and CJ. Will is a depressed young man who has attempted suicide on several occasions, before joining the program. He is not a good musician, but the school seems to offer a second chance at life. As for CJ. . . the boy is the next Jimmy Hendrix. It 'better to twelve years than most of the guitar players in groups of current, and I'm not exaggerating. The film is worth it just for him. So the final verdict? Rock School is really fun time at the theater. Not one of the best records of recent, but still well worth a viewing. 3 out of 4 stars
