What are Subdomains?
Sub-domains are the third level domains that are used to organize your web site content.
They are just like folders under your root directory. But they will have a special URL to access.
http://www.unrealbusinesssolutions.com
is the regular URL with out a subdomain.
http://green.unrealbusinesssolutions.com would be a subdomain.
You can use sub-domains to help organize your website like: support.unrealbusinesssolutions.com and estore.unrealbusinesssolutions.com. Unreal Business Solutions makes creating and managing sub-domains effortless.

What the hell is wrong with everyone these days. Yes I know how popular social networks are becoming but aren't people still interested in owning their own domain and website? It seems that millions of people have the idea that it is better to use free networks and blogs to spread your message. Is that true? Whatever is true about that does not really matter because the point is that you cannot really own your social network channel. Don't people of the future ever want to be involved in the trading of internet property? Why is it that the owners of these social networks are definitely "with the program" while many of their users are not?
What am I talking about? Lets see- I upload my unique content to a domain and website that belongs to someone else and I get visitors going there. Yes! That is good isn't it? The problem comes when you get very popular and something happens to the network you are using when they change the rules. If you take time to read the small print then you will see that you don't really have control over those networks and they are ones who will be able to sell the domain property to others while you are simply out of the picture when it comes to any kind of business transaction. Surely people who contribute to a domain or website could be "shareholders" of that domain (kinda like shares in a public company) - but no, you will not see the big money in the end.
What can you do? Well, you need to buy a decent domain name and if you are going to operate on social networks and blogs you would do well to make sure that everyone who likes you also knows that you own a domain name and website too. One of the great ideas that I have had with this is choosing an "odd" but easy to remember dot com domain name. Can you remember whoisbid? I think you can! Well, I have website and I can be found in a ton of other places too but if something happens to all of them and I get kicked out or compromised somehow in the future I can always go back to my own website and implement something that works with Web 2.0 and have my followers contribute ..LOL! .. Then I will be doing the same things as the social networks and blogs are doing. Yes! I can then sell my website for a ton of cash if it has tons of followers and daily contributors.
On the other hand I can elect to keep Web 2.0 far away from my website and only upload my own contributions to it. I am not saying I am doing the right or wrong thing with my own domain and website but what I can tell you is I have a choice to do whatever I want and I own 100% of my site. To me that is a sign of freedom and maybe some other people might want to consider their own website to be a much higher priority than their social network or blog. It is up to you what you want to do but please remember that you can SELL your own domain later on if you want to while you probably won't be able to sell your blog and social network channel no matter how much effort you put into it.
