009 - Check Up/Monitoring

(I applied reality to a fictitious AU about YouTubers ... and you gotta stipulate on details if you’re gonna do that. So I have.)

009 is my favorite subject in the lab AU, and his functioning fascinates me. Having studied nursing, it wouldn’t be easy to keep him functioning. His respiratory functioning is beyond my understanding, but the rest I can apply to real world medicine. Here’s the explanation of everything if anyone is curious:

The lines in his arms and those paddles on his upper body are all real medical equipment that I think 009 would need to survive. The one on his right (the one closer to his chest) is a PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) line that serves for TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). The IV on his left forearm serves for hydration. Those circles on his torso are telemetry leads, they are placed to keep track of his cardiac function. Each little circle corresponds to a part of the heart (Right and Left Atrium on top, Right and Left Ventricles on the bottom, and the central one as the chest lead). These are not perfect, my anatomy is NOT 100% and this is just a doodle. I do plan on cleaning it up at some point though ... meantime, thanks for reading through this, and I hope you like it!!

Assessment - Subject 009 & Dr. J

Forgive the length of this post, but three pages looks better like this.

ANYWAY, I like this AU a lot, so, massive shoutout to @chickenwxy and @despairwafflezz for creating it.

I’m a graduate nurse, guys ... so, I enjoy the idea of trying to see how a basic assessment with the various test subjects would go. I imagine 009 would be a smart ass and be very difficult. Both as a patient and to try and understand (on several levels). I hope you enjoy this short little comic, and credit to @totalbean for my AU name, and to @qeeko for giving me the idea for the ending.
