Sorry if I'm reading your post wrong, but I thought Walter and The Eye were different people. Walter went with the Summerland crew to save David from D3 and to David's old house. The Eye did shapeshift into Walter to shoot at David and Syd, though.

No, this is a totally useful answer! I honestly posted the questions hoping someone might have some explanations, it wasn’t just be trying to be a dick.

I thought Walter and The Eye were the same person, played by Mackenzie Gray, and he shapeshifted into Rudy, the telekinetic Summerland dude (played by Brad Mann), to shoot them?

Regardless, if The Eye’s power is shapeshifting that does answer some things but also kind of bring up more, and still leave a lot unanswered.

I highly recommend you finish watching Maniac. There were parts of the series that I didn't like, but the ending is so well executed it makes it all worth it. The last two episodes were a tour de force and some of the best things I've seen in episodic entertainment, and the rest was pretty good too.
