This vegan, gluten-free submarine sandwich is packed with smoky, savory flavors that will satisfy your cravings. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner option!

Ingredients: 1 gluten-free submarine sandwich roll. 1 cup vegan deli slices such as smoked tofu or tempeh. 1/2 cup shredded vegan cheese. 1/4 cup sliced red onion. 1/4 cup sliced tomato. 1/4 cup shredded lettuce. 2 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon liquid smoke. Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Slice the submarine roll horizontally, but not all the way through. Layer the vegan deli slices, shredded cheese, red onion, and tomato inside the roll. Spread vegan mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the top half of the roll. Drizzle liquid smoke over the fillings. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil. Place the wrapped sandwich in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and top with shredded lettuce. Serve immediately and enjoy!

So sad been a couple year's not the same. New owners of the Sub shop back of store, now named Stacks. I always order Double Meat Suicide Killer and Itailan Sub. Bread is thinner and not baked the same. Meat was half what I usually got and not dusted with Parmesan Cheese. So 25 bucks two Subs would be no problem if it was still the same. The @seltzertimeofficial guys recommended the #S&SDeli in #westboylstonma for my #italiangrinderodyssey Those guys usually know what they’re talking about. I asked for one at the #deli and the gentleman told me there were some “at the register”. When I think pre-made #submarinesandwich I think convenience store nightmare with a cold dry roll and questionable #meat. I also prefer the deli paper wrap and brown paper bag presentation. This was wrapped in cellophane. But it didn’t matter. This was a quality sandwich. Very different in that the #lettuce was green and full leaf, there were no pickles or hots. And no oil and vinegar. At least none that I could taste. But the #coldcuts were top shelf and the #bread was just crusty enough. I know, it’s missing some key ingredients but it was still a fresh tasting #sandwich.
