hi hi! for one of the portfolio samples, could i send an excerpt of one of my existing fics? asking because i've published a fic about overblots in the past that's longer than the word limit but i believe has some parts that can be portfolio material on their own✌️

(fyi the google form currently has two required fields for samples but some of the contributor types listed as just requiring one sample not sure if that was on purpose :0 )

I scrolled through a bunch of your posts, and noticed that scarring is often included? This is a genuine question, but how does scarring count as a disability?

Ok so this is actually covered here, but I’ll put it here too. Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) “A person with a disability is someone who:

has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities,

has a history or record of such an impairment (such as cancer that is in remission), or

is perceived by others as having such an impairment (such as a person who has scars from a severe burn).”

So this would be how scarring counts as a disability, because it could fall into the first or third qualifications. Here is also the link to the CDC’s definition of disability, which applies on this blog as well, it’s just not as straightforward to answer this question.

Undertale is the fandom with the most submissions and Papyrus has the most submissions.

Is there a way to submit stuff anonymously? I think I've seen it done before but I'm not sure...

So, you have to log out and THEN submit. It will ask you for a name and email, and you can literally just put [email protected] and it will go through.

do you think i could make a case for Nine, from 17776 and 20020, if they haven't been submitted already? their battery issues are presented in a way I see as very much analogous to chronic fatigue. some things they do take up a lot of battery and they have to rest for a long while after doing those things, their power levels keep them from being as active as their friends and family, those sorts of things.

Yeah I can see why that could count. Does anyone else have any input?

hi! i can provide a little bit of an explanation for your question about vocaloids!

vocaloid is a vocal synthesizer program (the different characters/voicebanks for the program are called "vocaloids"; there are other vocal synth programs such as synthv, utau/openutau, cevio, etc. but those are very similar in terms of the voicebanks)

many (but not all) voicebanks have character designs to go along with them (notably, vocaloids made by crypton such as hatsune miku, kagamine len and rin, etc), and will have some suggested information like their age and associated items/colors. for the most part, the characterization of them is left up to the people who use them in songs! as such, the characters they portray can have different ages, appearances, etc (sometimes not even resembling the original character design very strongly)

you may also see characters such as saki tenma submitted, who's from the game colorful stage/project sekai (it has two different names depending on region), which also features vocaloids, but saki isn't a vocaloid herself!

Thanks for the information! It’s really useful. We will take vocaloid characters if they can be canonically be considered disabled. And no worries about the Saki part :)
