♡ Caro's Review: Sibi's Writing

because why not 😊 it’s time to praise and it’s time to analyze. i’ll be covering a bunch of aspects so lean back.

first thing that always strikes me… the cadence of the sentences is proper. it creates natural rhythm and flow. you can tell there’s a lot of effort behind it and it’s constantly evolving.

balance of dialogue, plot and description: just the way it should be. it’s so well-done you won’t even notice it. that’s what every writer is aiming for.

there’s a wit to it. it’s modern and draws analogy. definitely liking that because it gives a youthful story a youthful feel. she adapts register to genre and sticks with her strong suits.  

world-building is always accounted for. everything has a past and a future.

it’s the kinda writing that always gives people what they want. thank you for not torturing us tbh. ✊

it’s easy to picture what’s going on. there’s a distinct motivation that the reader knows the expression of the character and room for vagueness is small. especially in dialogue. while there could be more ambiguity, the reader is sure not to miss the atmosphere. 

you can tell it’s experienced writing. it’s way past any amateur stage, that’s a lot of hours under her belt. especially how she starts her stories tells me where’s she’s headed which is becoming seriously advanced.

the way i’d describe the style with one word is transparent. you can see what the characters are up to. everything is crystal clear. that helps to imagine.

rare feat: no overuse of commas. half of the fandom authors are trying to get rid of their habit, she naturally writes without complication and distraction. makes it easier to read. she could still add more commas and it’d be in good measure anyways.

the style of delivery is consistent. sibi doesn’t do experiments where they aren’t necessary. she has her own brand. 😎

i see a lot proper use of -ly adverbs. it sounds fitting and blends into the sentence without sounding redundant. the adverbs give you extra information. e.g. „a loud sigh which he skillfully ignores“ from the language teacher.

sibi’s is the least edgy motherfucker type of writing i know. there’s nothing pretentious or showy to it. refreshing.

i can’t tell whether she’s a native speaker or not unless she doesn’t set an apostrophe. someone’s been working hard on their english and that’s quite a feat. sibi has something i admire and that is skillful writing through skillful reading. it’s obvious she honors other people’s writings, i mean look at her rec blog, she keeps it balanced with input and output. respect to any author who’s a social creature like that.

consequently, the writing sits right inside life, is very involved in it, instead of looking from the outside in. i could neva ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

her fics are meant to comfort & that’s beautiful.

her weak spot for taehyung is always showing and i like it 😂 and i enjoy when she writes about her hobbies and daily life. 

it’s pure-hearted, good-natured writing man… what can i say. i’m a lil jealous of such a mindset.

my god, she says she’s not productive but honestly wow, how can you write so much though?? impressive.

all that effort and immersion and editing and posting is crazy af. beside her good looks and charm (dang right, levi gf 101) sibi boasts some serious game in writing, too. she writes after she is working and runs other blogs. good lord.
