heyyyy sorry if I haven’t really been updating this, but it was a really hard couple of weeks.

Well, first of all I spent one whole day without power. Then the wifi went out for two days. It was boring, but somewhat refreshing, and I starter to read Harry Potter again.

sorry if my writing sucks rn, but I’m really tired from yesterday and today (I feel like I’m going to have a food baby lol): we ate paella for Easter and today we did a bbq, also because the day was absolutely fantastic.

I am just updating this to tell you what had been going on in the past two weeks, but I realize there isn’t really a lot to say ughhhh.

Well, ‘till tomorrow. I think my wifi is going to go out again

The holidays became hectic and so the project was put on hold. Therefore there are still not enough submissions to begin the final editing and publishing steps. The project is ready to get moving again though! Please submit your letters, poems, art, etc. and share your voice! This could be your chance to be heard and possibly help give someone else the strength they need! Spread the word and let’s get the submissions coming in! And questions please don’t hesitate to ask! We still need submissions to make this happen in our time frame! I’m hoping to start final edits sometime in January but still need quite a few more. I have probably received somewhere between 40-50 submissions but to really get something good out of this I am hoping ideally to double that, or come close to. So please share and submit letters, stories, art work! Let’s make this a reality and share our voices!

Not sure what to write for your letter? Not sure who to write to? Not sure if your writing is good enough for this book? Not sure what to draw, paint, create? Not sure if you're artistic enough for this book? Guess what?! Everyone in the lgbtq+ community is more than good enough for this book! This book is to show our individual yet collective voices! This book will tell the story of our community through our own individual stories. You don't have to write a masterpiece or create a Picasso! Picasso was great, EE Cummings was great, michael Angelo was great, Suzanne Collins is great... YOU are great. We don't want you to sound like anyone else, just you. That is the power in this book. We are each individuals but we are connected still. Each amazing artist and writer is amazing because they were their selves and created work that they wanted to. So please please do not let thinking you aren't good enough be the reason you do not submit something, because we are all uniquely and wonderfully good enough! And if you need ideas on who to write to or what to write about I have a couple posts on the tumblr page with suggestions or just dm me! I will always respond!
