stuff about wolves (we actually read this thing on wolves and culture a couple of days ago in class so thats what i found out): lithuanians respected wolves n depicted them as really smart and wise creatures. we have many rivers/towns whose names come from the word 'vilkas' (aka 'wolf'). the wolf was like the symbol of marital life and good luck (aaand it was widely believed that if a witch curses some newlyweds they'll turn into werewolves lol)

tho now the depiction of wolf has changed because of other cultures, where the wolf (as in the character in fairytales/cartoons/what not) is often viewed as stupid/dangerous but idek
