I usually don't fiddle about this much (if I'm doin portraits most of the time I'll skip the sketch and just start lining because I like to keep things gestural!) but I hadn't drawn for a couple of days when I made this one so I was in noodle city- but my process is generally; thumbnail, loose sketch, tight sketch, lines!
