Also again, Scare Glow is so cool looking all the green colors—all the colors of Subternia make me feral it’s so pretty!!!

If you look closely on Horde Empire map you will see Garius Asteroid Belt which is all that remains of Garius the original homeplanet of the Gars. The destruction was caused by a artificial blackhole that Marlena Glenn used to travel to Eternia. The surviving Gars ended up caught in a time back loop to Preternia and made their new home on Anwat Gar. And apparently no one knows of this accident through time and history not even Queen Marlena herself. You can even see on Subternia map their ship.
Honestly and truly, Masters of the Universe has so much lore!
MotU has as much lore as Lord of the Rings and Tolkien's middle-Earth. Yet Mattel never takes the time to explore it and show it. They just keep remaking and rebooting stories about Adam. Adam, Adam, Adam! They've said everything there is to say about Adam. I get it. He's a pure-hearted and noble hero. A worthy successor to the heroes that came before him. The true Champion destined to wield the Power Sword. Okay. We get it.
May we please have a full length series about literally anything other than Adam now? Can we have a show about He-Ro fighting the Snakemen and/or the Horde in the Preternia era? How about a show taking place immediately after the Great Separation and all the various peoples of Eternia adjusting to the cataclysmic change? How about a the decline and fall of Zalesia? Or a saga about the line of Sorceresses? Maybe a mythic tale of the Goddesses? Obviously you all already know I'm thirsty for a series taking place during the Great Unrest and focusing on Keldor and Randor.
Or, how about a show about the Gar and how they escaped the destruction of their home and landed on Preternia!
C'mon Mattel Creative! Can you stop stroking Adam long enough to give some attention to literally any other part of your wide and diverse lore?
Sorry this Ask sort of became more of a rant.
Anyway, I've never seen the map of Pretenia. Are you able to share?
What Ork-Glow was doing while he waited for the squad to open the portal to Hell
Had a sad tought about another reason why Orko wanted to go with Teela and the others to repair the sword in revelation, and why they added that his magical blunders are because of his childhood. Think they wanted to add another paralel with Adam (I remember a post where they showed both Adam's and Orko’s last look back to Teela), that they both suffered because they couldn't meet their parents expectations (Marlena keeps telling his son she is proud, but he needs to hear it from his father).
I can imagine that as Adam grew up, he might have gotten a few disapproving glances from the king or even scolded for playing too loud, or getting late for royal duties. And Orko when he is in the palace had a high chance seeing Adam upset after one, he surely tries to talk to him (like in Problem with power, where he goes after He-man, because he needs him). But it's not one sided, Adam too goes to cheer him up if Orko is upset (Like in Orko's missing magic). He most likely knows that eternian people go to subternia or preternia, while his kind goes to somewhere different. Maybe his motivation was to hopefully see Adam one last time before he dies. And nearly suceeded if not for Scareglow, and right at the gate too.
I don’t have much to add to this besides, yeah, this sounds accurate. I hadn’t considered ‘seeing Adam one last time’ as motivation for Orko, but that makes sense.
I think it’s notable that everyone was surprised to see Adam in Preternia--This seems to indicate that most Eternians know exactly how Preternia works. However, as shown in Orko’s nursery rhyme, Trollans are established to have a connection to Subternia. He might know more than Teela or even Evil-lyn on how the afterlives work.
And as a side note, it’s made pretty clear that Preternia only exists for people with definite ties to Grayskull, like He-men and Sorceresses. And Moss Man. For some reason. Maybe because he died inside Grayskull? I have many questions on what Preternia is and why it exists. Especially because you can physically go to it and physically leave it. It seems more like a mechanism to give He-men and Sorceresses an extra life instead of a legit afterlife.
Okay so we know you like the idea of Krass being rock person or hybrid rock person but how would you do Subternia in Core?
Subternia being in the Core with the Star Seed?
Or, how would I do my version of Subternia, and my version of the Core where the Star Seed resides?
Subternia: To start, I'm not so fond of Revelation's interpretation of Subternia just being Eternia's "hell" or "Tartarus". Its not a part of the afterlife in my headcanon. In my headcanon, Subternia is a system of underground caves deep under Eternia's crust, somewhere between the surface and the Core. This system of caves also connects to the subterranean lake beneath the Evergreen Forest, which means there's also an access point into Castle Grayskull in Subternia.
the Core and Star Seed: Honestly, no interpretation of Eternia's Core and the chamber of the Star Seed will ever be better developed or more dynamic than @skeletorboyfriend 's own personal fanon of "Coreternia". I highly recommend hopping over to their blog and reading some of their info posts about it. He put more effort in developing the world building and continuity than Mattel ever put into the canon Masters of the Universe.
Orko the Great
Something that's been bothering me about Orko's rhyme when they entered Subternia:
Kevin Smith says that Orko wouldn't go to Preternia because he's Trollan. He would go to the Trollan afterlife.
Implying that Eternian afterlifes are not associated with Trolla.
But- then- why did Orko recite an "old Trollan rhyme" about Subternia? If Eternian afterlives are not Trollan afterlives, and Subternia is an Eternian afterlife, why would the Trollans have a rhyme about it?
So, Skelegod (Skeletor's god form) is a Death god.
(or, at least, he was in the Eternity War comic)
And @aglazeddoughnut recently posted a great fan theory that Scareglow (the ruler of the Underworld) is actually Evil-Lyn's dad, the Faceless One.
What if, the only one who can defeat Skelegod is not He-Man, is not Teela, is not some noble warrior with a pure heart that's worthy of the Power Sword.
What if Evil-Lyn is the only one with the power to defeat Skelegod?
If she is the daughter of the Lord of the Underworld...
