Magnus Shale Fist: "Thanatos? Bloody monster island! A place of death! And for some reason I agreed to come along! Remind me to get my head examined when we get back to the mainland. IF we get back there…"
Gar: "Not much is known about this place, except for the preponderance of monstrous beings that reside here. The name 'Thanatos', Island of Death, is derived from the belief that travelling here means certain death."
Geoffrey Tarellond-Ashe: "This? Oh, it's only the Isle of Thanatos. Monster Island, I think they call it. Can't say as I'm extremely happy to be here, considering that it's more than likely the most dangerous place in all of Arcanum. Have I thanked you for the wonderful holiday, my friend?"
Vollinger: "This is the Isle of Thanatos. Not the kind of place we want to spend a lot of time…"
Living One: "Any strategic advice, Torian Kel?"
Torian Kel: "Fight, to the death if necessary. I am prepared to lay my life down for you, and The Island of Death seems an appropriate place to do so."
Perriman Smythe: "Thanatos? Not much literature about that place, I'm afraid. I'd venture to guess that's because no one ever comes back from the place alive…literally crawling with all sorts of evil beasts and the like from the little that I've read about the place. I'm not one to pass up an opportunity to see someplace new, but I'd have to say I don't look forward to visiting that dreadful place…"

Sebastian: "Thanatos? Not much, other than it's supposed to be about the most dangerous place there is. I'm not one to shy away from a scrap, but I don't especially look forward to visiting it…"

Loghaire Thunder Stone: "I can tell you that Thanatos is no day in the park. I for one am looking forward to the pure thrill of combat against seemingly insurmountable odds. It will be a glorious death, eh?"
