Edit:

To use the .srt file, you should have a media player that supports subtitles and the boot of this particular production. Open the video in a media player and, within the player, find an option to add subtitles then import the .srt file

THE BOOT + SUBTITLE FILES

so i included the boot in this because i had a hard time downloading it from youtube so most likely, you guys will also have a hard time

there are 2 subtitle files in the folder -> one is .srt and the other is .ssa; the .srt file is your typical white-colored subtitles but then i realized it can be hard to see because of the flooring of the stage in this production -> that’s why there’s an .ssa file: the color of the text is yellow so it can be a bit more readable

if you don't know how to use the subtitle files: open the video in a media player (i recommend vlc) that supports subtitles then look for the option to add subtitles; alternatively, just drag both the video and the subtitle file into the media player window

the sung parts will be in ALL CAPS (i’ll work on a non-caps version in case some of you guys need it)

since this is the first version, please let me know if you encounter any mistakes in the subtitles

also for michael arden fans out there - im making subtitles for the hunchback of notre dame (im doing the la jolla playhouse version,, i might do the papermill version after) - not sure when this will be done,, it's probably gonna take longer than the time i spent making bare a pop opera subtitles

okay so i finished the subtitles but now i have to catch all the mistakes I've made so here, im releasing them into the wild:

I'll be releasing the edited versions again when im done

also please note that i just copy pasted from the script/libretto with minor adjustments to finish as fast as possible so all the sung parts will be in ALL CAPS, if you have any problems with all caps, im so, so, so sorry - I'll be working on a non-caps versions when i get the time so also let me know if you need the non-caps version so i know if i should prioritize it or not

so im 2 songs away from finishing the whole thing, the subtitles would probably up by tomorrow -> i'll upload both the boot and the subtitle file

as i did with the subtitles for bare: a pop opera, i'll be releasing the first version with all the sung parts in CAPS LOCK, then i'll do a re-release without the caps lock (give me some time here) in case some of you guys need it. also, this time around, the first version of the subtitles would have complete speaker tags already, so we're good on that front
