saw the first preview of the Lost Boys musical tonight AMA lol

but actually...👀 guys...it slaps! I think they've done a really good job of referencing/respecting/homaging the original movie while also making the musical its own thing.

the music is great, the sets are SO cool and the technical elements are really stellar, and the VOICES in this cast are unreal. I'll have more thoughts, and I'm actually seeing it again in like two weeks so I'm excited to see where things tighten, what stays and what goes, and what the final shape of this thing will be. i'm sure my thoughts and opinions won't necessarily line up with everyone, but as someone who works in theatre and who Lost Boys was very formative to, I think there's a lot to love for die hard fans and new fans alike!
