I saw an amber snail today, family Succineidae, near the marsh. It was so translucent in the sunlight that at first I couldn’t tell what it was.

Diagnosis: Succineidae Common name: Amber Snails Notes: There are lots of these guys and they can look quite similar, so a more specific ID depends on which ones are native to your area.
