While I was visiting my parents last week, I went antique shopping with my mother; in hopes of discovering a unique item to use as planter. When I came upon this tiny antique gilded box, I knew it was perfect; and it wasn't long until this cheerful little pachyveria glauca took up residence. I have to say, this may be my new favorite windowsill treasure.
I recently took a trip to my parent’s home in Southwest Florida. When I arrived, I was pleased to discover this beautiful display of chicks and hens at the entrance to their home. What they told me began as one small succulent quickly progressed into an arrangement so large, that it cracked the original pot they were displayed in. My mother has now replanted them in a clay planter perched atop a small decorative tricycle. It appears that succulent love runs in the family!
Just in case anyone noticed the early August hiatus; sorry guys, I was in Scotland! It was a first year anniversary trip for my husband and I that entailed living in a private castle for a week, touring Loch Ness and driving all over the country on the wrong side of the road. However, I didn't forget about you guys while I was there! I found a little plant shop that sold the cutest succulents! If only I was allowed to bring plants back to the US. If only! On a brighter note, it did inspire me to put together a few new succulent creations. Pictures coming soon!
