the christmas situation has developed as follows:

my mother is coming over today. i will give her my tiny present (still gotta wrap that, incidentally) and she will hopefully give me presents in return. then we'll go to a restaurant so we don't have to sit around in my disaster area of a living room feeling weird (i don't even have any food or drink left i could offer her after all these days without grocery shopping, lol). my sisters had other plans. :/
