I didn't love him, I thought I did. What I felt for him was desperation, I was so desperate to be loved by someone. Anyone. I was so desperate, I let him walk all over me because I thought that's what love was. Now I see that love is different, I now look at you and see love. That was desperation.

The Night Before Thanksgiving

'Twas the night before Thanksgiving,

And all the through the chat,

3 girls were talking,

About this... About that...

They talked about Christmas, coming so soon,

Not about the feast for next afternoon, 

They stayed up all night, 

Singing carols out loud,

Complaining about the weather,

As the temperature cooled down,

They stayed like that,

Until the next day, 

Waking to a feast,

Coming their way.
