Salwa's first birthday!

Dearest Salwa, you turned one year old today. I spent some time yesterday looking through your pictures. You have grown so much! You look so different now compared to when you were a newborn! Salwa, I dont think you will ever know how much we love you. You have changed our lives. I remember the first time I saw you, i thought to myself: she's beautiful, she's perfect. You've grown so much since then. You've learnt to walk now! Time goes by so fast! You're no longer the fierce unsmiling baby, now you're the 'shy' smiley baby whom everyone loves! You can read your own books too! (Although still in baby language) Salwa, as much as I love seeing you grow, a part of me is sad knowing that your infant years are coming to an end. No matter how big you become, you will always, always be my little precious princess! You always brighten up my day and make me laugh with your antics. You are my bestest friend. You are my joy and pride. You are mg greatest gift from Allah. I will always love you baby! I pray that you will grow to become an amazing woman. One who will be intelligent, strong and fearless. A god-fearing,kind and humble person too. I pray that you will be better than i ever was. May Allah bless you my precious. May you be the best in everything you do. May you be happy and healthy always. Happy 1st birthday my angel. Mama and Baba love you always!

New progress!

You can now crawl backwards,crawl down from the mattresses at grandma's house (always your legs first!) and you've started sucking on your toes! You make so much noise too! 😂😂😂 27/8/2016

Clingy

These past few days, you are becoming more clingy. Every time i wear my hijab, you start crying, its as if you know i'm gg out to teach and i cant bring you along. When i come back, you'll start crying and you wont let mw put you down. It breaks my heart. I've never heard you cry like that, since you were a newborn till now. Maybe i'll stop taking up so many relief jobs, i'll focus on you now. I love you sweetheart.! 24/4/16

Your progress (12/4/16)

At 4 months you can already roll over easily. You actually first rolled over by accident when you were a few weeks old. And then again, when you were around 2 months old. You managed to pull down the mobile 😂 and you gave me the cheekiest look when i saw what you did. Once, I woke up at 2am and you were wide awake playing with the mobile! 😂😂😂 You like sucking on your index and middle finger, both at once. You dont cry that much, MasyaAllah. But these past few days you've been so clingy, you just want me to carry you.. But its okay, i'm gonna miss this one day.. You smile more now! You used to only smile at me or baba,grandma n grandpa.. But now you smile more, at your khaltos n khalos 😁 you even smile at hamzah! Hamzah just turned 5 months old, and youre his fav baby. Everytime he sees you he smiles so wide and laughs so loudly! He tries to pull you towards him all the time! Its so adorable 😍

Basically what everyone who sees and holds you feels. MasyaAllah! When you were born, the nurses were gushing about how beautiful you are. Your uncles and aunties are so in love you! And everyone who holds you feels some sort of connection with you. You are truly a miracle. May Allah protect you my baby!
