Oh yes, that’ll be two tiered!
Ah, the beauty of freelance.. don’t mind me as I disappear on a casual Thursday for a spot of cake decorating. Birthday vouchers well spent (thanks Ed and Emma), I had great fun at Rock Bakehouse learning the art of the two-tiered treat.
Too scared to attempt this previously - what’s dowling anyway? I decided a class was the only way forward. Now, I would love to say it’s easier than it looks - it really does take time, patience and lots of tools! But there are some sneaky little tricks along the way too and some shockers - turns out that a 6″ cake tin is not necessary the same size as a 6″ cake board (I know, it’s insane).
But now that I’ve done it step by step, new creations will be coming your way! I really want to make a minnie mouse two-tiered cake - so if you fancy an experiment - I’ll be very willing to help you out : )
