Six Sentence Sday!
Not tagged, just wanted to share cause I've been very inspired this week to write and create!
(Thanks to all the planets that aligned for me to make this content possible, you're the real ones lmao)
My excitement to finally put out another chapter of Full of Sugar Honey Ice & Tea has lead to me writing most of the next chapter too. So here's six lines from chapter four of Sugar HIT.
The doctor was about waist high in the pale green water where he stood now, deeming that plenty far enough he began splashing his arms and chest and stomach, scratching over his skin with trimmed fingernails as if one might peel gamma off somehow. Whatever, it made him feel cleaner anyway.
"You know, you're.. looking surprisingly good, Carrington." The doctor raised startled eyes to see the spy glancing him over with what might be described as a lascivious smirk, "Did you start buffing up because Dez was thinking of sending you on missions again, or was it when you found out I'd be tagging along this go round? Don't be shy, you can tell me."
Carrington felt his jaw clench as tightly as his stomach, but he simply glared as he retorted, "The only thing I ever do with you in mind is beat the dirt from my mattress with a heavy stick."
"Is that what you kids are calling it these days?"
WHOOP, TH'ER IT IS!

Finally finished, edited, and uploaded Chapter Three of my Carrington/Deacon fic, Sugar Honey Ice & Tea~
If any of you are interested, or read the first two chapters and have been WAITING, please go check it out!
It's been a long time coming.
And know that I'm working on the next chapter too, especially because the lead up was so long I had to shove a lot of chpt three content into chpt four instead. So we'll be getting some interesting stuff right off the bat in the next update :D
WIP Wednesday!
(Except it's Friday, and no one mentions it!)
I was tagged by @mechanicalism (on the proper day for this and everything) but I was super busy with chores, and then other stuffs.. I'm doing it now though! Thanks for the tag, please never stop, you have no idea how much you and the rest of the mutuals on here encourage me when I lose focus.
I'm desperately trying to motivate myself to put out more Sugar Honey Ice & Tea so I will be sharing some of chapter 3. I managed at least another few pages today, so here's to small victories!
"I really don't think prying your eyes out will help, doctor."
"Help with what, exactly?" Carrington lifted his other hand back to his lips and inhaled a stream of tobacco, listening to the cherry on his cigarette crackle before easing his eyes open and blinking away the black spots swimming in his vision.
"Whatever it is you're trying to repress."
He chuckled at that, turning his head and taking in the shockingly laid back posture of their newest recruit. The white haired synth was paused in the open doorway, he'd barely noticed when she arrived, naturally talented in stealth it would seem. She was wearing the same button-up white shirt, jeans, and boots from last time he saw her, but she had a fresh shave to one side of her head and a thick worn brown leather jacket that reached her mid thigh and was a touch fitted at the waist. He thought he caught sight of a bulge at her hip as she uncrossed her arms and made her way further into the room.
"If I thought removing my eyes could take away the horrors I've experienced I'd have been happily blind a decade ago."
"Most of the doctors I know wouldn't recognize true horror if it ripped their door down and ate their offspring right in front of them. "
"I've actually seen someone eaten alive, so I think my base for comparison is sound."
"No fucking way. "
Carrington raised his eyebrows at her vocabulary but smirked at her candid disbelief. Clearly she'd been suffering from more shock than he'd initially recognized upon her arrival, if this was her natural disposition after only a few short days. He'd give it to Dez, she'd clearly done a lot for making their newest resident feel welcome. The synth had already made herself comfortable on the chair across from him, looking like a smug and curious cat, preemptively disturbed for his story.
"A settlement I lived in as a young man had a fairly regular Deathclaw problem. You know what those are?"
Fic update!!
Finally got chapter two of Sugar HIT up and mostly functional! Let me know what you think, if you can hear their voices in your head, if Deacon is Kiss me/Kill me enough yet~ Cause he'll be getting SO much worse

"Hey Doc, good to see ya."
"Mister Whispers, it's been a while. I was surprised, normally you aren't the one around HQ trying to make my life more difficult."
Glory looked as if she wanted to speak up then, Carrington almost clinically curious what she planned to say, but he wasn't destined to find out as Whispers shook his head and laughed. When he spoke up his voice was warm with familiarity and it made something old and sweet curl in the dark haired man's stomach.
"Missed you too, even your abysmal bedside manner. Ya know.. I really do try to stay out of too much trouble.. Usually. So much for good intentions, right? Next time I'll bring you flowers."
The physician almost found himself smiling back, but he shoved it down, forcing a scowl onto his face that didn't seem to be very convincing, if his agents widening smirk was anything to go on. He stepped closer, depositing two syringes and a roll of bandages onto the bedside table. Glory had fallen very silent, but the way her gaze shifted between them made the doctor think that she knew more about interpersonal relationships then some of the other synths they'd gotten to know. That was interesting.
"I don't need your flowers Tommy, but less bullet holes would be a lovely gesture."
"Consider it done princess."
"I know how to dislocate every limb you are currently in possession of."
"Now now boys, don't start the fun without me."
Dominique Ansel Bakery Afternoon Tea - London, UK
[n e w p o s t] on talk&spoon: Dominique Ansel Bakery Afternoon Tea - an incredibly beautiful experience in London!
FLOWER – Vanilla mousse, lemon marmalade, cookie crumb, whipped basil ganache
When my friend OS suggested we head to Dominique Ansel’s London outpost while where in town, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it myself. We’ve visited the Japanese store in Tokyo – and yes, we queued. Rather, I queued while DS went for a walk because he was so cold and he hates queuing.
