While touching on themes of disability as it is inextricably woven into the fabric of Uma Musume as a sports narrative (following from my previous post), I suppose it is worth mentioning that there is an Umamusume who is an ambulatory wheelchair user! Her name is Sugar Lights.
Though not a trainee, she is the most prominent character in the Run, Mecha Umamusume! -Invention of Dreams- scenario, released on the Japanese server on October 29, 2024. Having suffered a past injury, she is now an inventor who has created the robot ST-2 (Sati), and the scenario has you train alongside the robot and aid in its development.
It'll be quite a long while from now (likely at least a few years), but I am looking forward to this scenario being added to the global server.
