According to my Notes App, today marks the 5th anniversary of the OCs from these stories living in my head :D
I wanted to make posters but school was being a meanie and I haven't drawn all the characters I needed so I only have three/four sketches for the posters, which is annoying but it's better than nothing.
I thought of Teddy Bear Ninja back in the 7th grade, hence the +5, a proper start to non-PreCure related OCs that also included the possibility of them getting animated in a TV series or a comic book :] The Teddy Bear Ninja in question is based on my own teddy bear, therefore, the two of us are hugging :D
I thought of Sugar Warriors around when I thought of Teddy Bear Ninja. Think of them as my personal love letter to my biggest inspiration, Pretty Cure :D The poster I made in Clip Studio is huge, too big for Tumblr, so I tried splitting it in half but Tumblr was being a mutha[bonking] [bleep] and wouldn't at all upload the two halves. So now it's a screenshot that won't do the thing where you try to zoom in to get a better look at the details and look less blurry. It'll look blurry when you zoom in, thanks Tumblr, you [bonkin'] piece of [squish] (do you enjoy the TADC based censors :3 ) The team leaders float and pose, like a good ol' fashioned PreCure poster :D
I actually did think of Starlight 5 years ago and I've been thinking of the outfits for these girlies FOREVER. I've been playing dress up with them, the star dolls :3c A fun fashion practice that will bear the fruit of its labor someday with animation. I thought it would be fun if I drew them like the color wheel challenge I see artists doing.
These fellas are very special to me, I love them all, I love my OCs :]
