i always feel unsure about going because the last time i went (in 2014) they left me for hours and hours and hours waiting for the crisis team to arrive and it was poorly organised. i mean last year a doctor told me the process is apparently a lot better now but i’m not sure i believe it. plus i don’t think anyone would take me and i feel stupid calling A&E and asking for transport. i’ve taken a diazepam so i’ll see how i feel. i’m also gonna try and get my boyfriend to see me sooner rather than later tonight but he’s watching the F1 and idk if he’ll take me seriously enough to abandon that

The nhs mental health services are utterly useless, did anyone give you the card with helpline numbers on it? That's as much help as I've ever gotten from them. I wish I had some advice to give you but all I can do is say that I hope someone gets back to you and actually helps you. If you need to talk I'm happy to listen. Be safe x

thank you :( i had an ok experience in chichester (where i’m from) with the CMHT but yeah this is horrific. i don’t have a helpline card, i just have a card with her ACTUAL OFFICE NUMBER on it so you’d think someone would pick the fucking phone up

If you are nervous about talking to her about something, you could write it down. That way it will come out how you want it to and it might be less pressure x

thank you!! someone has already suggested this to me and i think i might do it but probably not tomorrow. i think i will wait until after a few more sessions so i feel more comfortable

As a self harmer myself, I don't see a problem with the content of your blog. Self harm is, sadly, not exactly an uncommon thing. By simply ignoring it's existence, you aren't helping it and by acknowledging it you aren't making it worse. Some people find comfort in knowing they aren't alone in these struggles. x

You get it thank you, exactly what I was trying to point out. Most self harmers are hiding enough and if you never will be able to express yourself you will only get more sick. I’m sick and tired of hiding. We all need an outlet, it’s so important, to be allowed to do that. and yes it isn’t pretty but it is okay and personally I know what triggers me the most, it’s not a picture, it’s life, being stressed, being angry, being hurt.
