His ex fucked me up

Everything that shines ain’t always going to be gold.

Turns out my vanilla boyfriend has big trust issues because of his gold digger ex-gf.

The worst is that I had to learn about it from others telling me ‘how much different, better and a good girl’ I am compared to his ex.

They were together for 4 years. She was going out every weekend with a new brand outfit and purse, he got her a range rover evoque for her bday, he used to give her a weekly allowance, she was living with him and didn’t work nor study... meanwhile she was cheating on him all along.

He’s not spoiling me to that level AT ALL... He pays for every single date and gets offended when I try to pay something small with my own money (i.e. 5€ on energy drinks)But he never gets me things like that nor cash to help me out.

He always tells me how I am so different from the other girls, that he loves me and loves how authentic and white-hearted I am. He wants us to openly state we are dating but I told him to wait. I also noticed he feels threatened of other men approaching or even talking to me.

I’ve confronted him about not being attentive/thoughtful with me, making me feel as if I am worthless.

He reacted saying that I don’t know him yet, that he’s the most attentive man in the world but that I met him on a ‘strange phase’ of his life.

Then 2 days later his ex-gf called him in the middle of the night to ask him for cash. 😶 Nothing big, just 2k.

I’m going to have to work hard to gain his trust, we’ve only been dating for 2.5months. I’m ready to invest a bit more of time and see where this goes. But no more than 6 months tho.

What can I do to gain his trust? Did I sell myself short? Maybe I should play harder to get? Help out a sis 😭

Embarrasing AF date

There is this upscale restaurant ($;$$$) my rich boyfriend and me frequent a lot.  Mainly because the kitchen closes late and even if it’s closed they always open it for us.

When we asked for the bill, the waiter came and gave ME the bill saying: ‘well, today it’s on you, he’s always the one inviting you. Where is the feminism?’.

I was left SPEECHLESS. How. Fucking. Rude.

My boyfriend started to laugh and I smiled and said yes of course. As soon as the waiter turned his back I looked at bf with the saddest puppy face and he said: I would never let you pay baby, don’t worry.

Then he put out 800euros in 10euros notes, which made a pretty thick stack.

When the waiter came to collect the bill, he said I can see it’s you who paid, he has never paid in smaller notes than 100 and he ALWAYS tips ;)

I played dumb and said: oh well, I had to break my little pigggy to come here. 

He will learn not to fuck anyone’s hustle, specially not mine. My boyfriend always leaves at least a 100eu tip, but this time he left 0. Next time he will think twice before trying to fuck me up.

Anyone else has experienced any similar situation? I felt he was calling me a gold-digger in my face??? LOL

First gift from vanilla bae

This new guy I’m dating was sick yesterday so I went to “take care of him”, I picked him up, brought him to the pharmacy and then had some tea with him outdoors.

He didnt bring any jacket so we went looking for one for him to buy and he said pick anything you like. I was like 😳 no thank you. He was like why not? Do it. I was acting all shy like all I want is you let’s go.

Then later he wanted to buy some apple airpods cause he lost his, and then he said do you also want ones. There I was weak 😂 I said well I’m not going to say no. Then he said go pick up yours and I was like no it’s too much 🙈

So he went all sick with fever to go and pick also a pair for me saying ‘you’re difficult girl’.

Then he paid and now I have my babies at home 😍😍😍

I know it’s nothing expensive, but remember I’ve been dating him for not even a month and it’s a 160€ gift.
