Today I am learning about sugared/candied violets. Kinda like frosted flakes. Frosted violets! I'd love to start making these. I discovered an article by a woman who gives out a thorough set of instructions for making these, whom refers to them as "the jewel of all culinary garnishes" and i'd have to agree by the looks of things. Sugared pansies were left to dry overnight. Here's what they look like. I might try granulated sugar next time instead of powdered to get a more crystallized look.
