Something that really pisses me off in green circles is the idea that leaving a space alone is going to fix it.
That's not how it works!
Invasive species aren't going to magically disappear, native populations of flora and fauna won't just show back up on their own! It takes work! Hard work!
We don't just get to sit back and pretend! A lot of the time human interference caused the problem, and it is needed to remedy it!
"Let nature reclaim it" doesn't work when invasives are involved! They are destroying the old ecosystem, making it uninhabitable for the species that used to thrive there!
DO SOMETHING!

I’d be hotter if we evolved from spiders.
Today, on bugs I saw:
Baby Mantis on an unopened bachelor's button flower!
This little hatchling did not come from the bachelor button life. My mom found them on some trimmed branches she was throwing out, so she put them somewhere where they can hunt lots of garden pests to grow big and strong.

I happen to be very into bugs and critters. Specifically beetles as of late. There is tribe of scarabs referred to as phanaeini and within that tribe is the genus phanaeus. I’m sharing this with you dear reader because within that genus exists phanaeus vindex aka the RAINBOW scarab!!
