Savor Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce's traditional flavors without the added sugars and carbohydrates. This homemade low-carb version is ideal for the ketogenic diet and is Paleo-friendly. Use it as a glaze for grilled vegetables and meats, or as a dipping sauce.
Ingredients: 1 cup tomato puree. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup water. 2 tablespoons coconut aminos. 2 tablespoons granulated erythritol. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Tomato puree, water, coconut aminos, erythritol, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper should all be combined in a small saucepan. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring from time to time. After lowering the heat to low, simmer the sauce for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the consistency you desire is reached. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning. Before serving, remove from the heat and allow to cool. Any leftovers should be refrigerated in an airtight container.
