“Sammy! I need you to put the angel on the tree. I’m too little.” Sugar stood by the Christmas tree with said angel on hand, bouncing up and down. 

Sam smiled at her and considered. “I mean, I could try, but I think you might get bored up there on top of the tree.” He picked her up before she could protest and carried her towards the tree. “You are the prettiest angel though, so...” 

Sugar squealed with laughter as she slapped at Sam’s shoulders. “You put me down, Sammy!” She kissed the tip of his nose when she was safely back on the ground and handed him the actual tree angel. While Sam was placing the angel carefully, she wandered off to continuing decorating. “Oh, Sammy! I found something else you can hang.” 

Sam appeared at Sugar’s side, his smile widening when she held up a piece of mistletoe between them. “I think I can handle that.” He taped the spring to the top of the doorway before looking back down at Sugar and waggling his eyebrows. Wrapping his arms around her small frame, he pulled his girlfriend in and kissed her soundly, her feet leaving the ground once again. She didn’t mind so much this time though.

“Deal!” Sam agreed without hesitation. It was pretty much a sure thing after all. His girlfriend was totally going to regret this. “Now are you sure? Because... I’m like the king of Mario Kart. You’ve seen me destroy all our friends,” he reminded Sugar as he set up the game. “Okay, I win, we get to try that thing I brought up. You win, I’ll make you dinner tonight.” She’d never even played before as far as he knew, so he had no idea why she’d agree to this, but he wasn’t going to argue. She even picked Peach. This was going to be so easy. 

Sam ended making dinner that night.

I’m barely even passing English, Sugar,” Sam pointed out, rolling his eyes and resting his hand on her knee comfortably. “I mean... normal words get all jumbled in my brain and then Spanish is like... the words are already jumbled, so what am I even supposed to do with that?” He sighed and let his head fall back against the couch cushion for a moment before looking up at her again. “Have you been watching telenovelas again?”

Sam startled slightly at the loud voice ringing down the hallway. Of course, it was his girlfriend. He really wasn’t that surprised. He closed his locker and held out a hand at Sugar as she ran towards him. “Babe, take a breath. And maybe down scream about turtles having sex where there might be teachers. But now that I’ve gotten the responsible nonsense out of the way... OH MY GOD, YES! That was hilarious!”

Who cried when they brought their child home for the first time: Both of them (I think I just assume everyone cries at adorable new bbs XD)

Who would wake up in the middle of the night to check on the kid(s): Probably Sam. Sugar needs her beauty rest. 

Who changes the kid(s) diapers: Sam does it more often at first, since he has experience, but he helps her feel more confident so they can have an equal share. 

Who makes the bottles: Again, Sam has the experience and Sugar has the boobs. 

Who stays up late at night to rock the kid(s) to sleep and sing them lullabys: Sam, for the same of the children’s ears XD 

Who is guilty of spoiling the kid(s): Sugar, obviously. She’s very used to being spoiled and she wants her kids to have the same. Sam’s a little more aware of what hardships can sneak up on you, but since Sugar can afford it, he lets her be. 

Who would give the kid(s) cookies in the middle of the night: Probably both of them. And they’d both pay for it lol

Who always takes the kid(s) side: Probably Sugar more often

Who would wake up early to make breakfast for the kid(s) before school: Sam. Sugar doesn’t wake up early. 

Who gets the kid(s) ready for school in the morning: Sam. He’s just used to these things.

Who takes the kid(s) to school: Sam, on his way to work. 

Who goes to parent teacher conferences: Both of them always go, Sam’s the one who always reminds them though.

Who will be the first to suggest to have ‘the talk’ with the kid(s): I think they’ll both probably avoid it as long as possible, but then Sam’ll give in. 

Who would choose their child(s) prom outfit: Sugar, without a doubt. We don’t need another bolo tie incident. 

Who would cry when the kid(s) go off to college: Both of them again
