Today we wrapped up training 30 social work students at @renisoncollege It was a full house with tons of wisdom in the room, along with great discussion about the intersection of protocols, professional regulations, personal ethics, and how best to support someone experiencing thoughts of suicide. Day 2 of #ASIST training at @cdicollege done. And that means 15 more participants stepping back into the #Mississauga community with skills that can save a life. That's 15 students who, when they graduate will impact their professions and the people they serve with the skills they learned over these two days. That's a number of these participants who already came in this morning with stories of how what they learned on day 1 opened doors to suicide prevention literally overnight.
