a knock at the door took jae by surprise, as he wasn’t really expecting anyone, though he pushed himself off his couch. he pulled open the door with an inquisitive look to reveal suji, though he couldn’t be upset to see her. the hardly worth mentioning kiss on the cheek from new year’s still stuck in his mind. it made himself feel nearly self conscious in his current state, borderline exhausted from the music video filming they had earlier, running his hand through his hair, still damp from the shower.

“hey,” he said, with some surprise, going to look at his watch for the date. “what are you doing here? thought you were in japan for a while longer.”

every time i saw the movie inside out. you know those movies that you even remember watching for the first time? your favorite one? like a favorite movie, you can never feel bored watching them. and i think watching inside out even if it was like five or six years old i was really happy because is such a cool movie and even growing up its still really fun to watch and that movie makes me feel more easy about life. wait, i lost my chance to do one of those idols answers and saying it was your debut. honestly, i was not happy at the day, it was just really weird and i got confused about the camera spots even though our staff teaches us. at least i was one of the most pretty in that outfit. *winks*

now? what age i have right? anyways the age i have right now. i’m working now, you know having a job is everything you get money out of there. and its not a usual job, not that is like a unicorn and everything nice. its just really fun to do something different and what you always dream of. and buy brand stuff.

no. but i have songs in my mind playing so i just let them playing cause i don’t want shampoo in my mouth.

after two wins in a row, jae was almost confident they could get a third with this one. the return to the darker concept was well received, even charted some — he definitely enjoyed getting to mess with the wardrobe staff members who, to their credit, did not trust him with just a suit jacket, but still followed the concept even with the doubt that he could manage it without a malfunction. but they did have competition, namely one fuse member, with another successful solo release, much to his excitement for his friend. 

and standing on the stage, hearing her name called as the winner that week, it only grew. he had to keep a grin down, instead politely smiling and clapping alongside the rest of the idols on stage, making the decision just as quickly as it entered his head to wait if he could backstage, sure his manager would understand or not realize if he dipped out for a moment or two. once he was sure the encore was over, mic pack removed, he slipped out quickly to go say his congratulations. 

spotting her, he made his way over and squeezed her shoulder gently to grab her attention, determined to make it quick to not annoy her own managers. “so should i start putting an award winning in front of soloist now or...” he trailed off, pride peaking through the exhaustion as he grinned down at her.
