Hhhh Anon you're gonna make me wanna write/lh/pos
Similar to how it was done in the post before, this one is similar but Muir pretty much, like you said, comes to his sense on his own.
Innes gets thrown to the ground and is trying to scramble away with as much strength as he has still left in him, which isn't a lot unfortunately and Muir is being relentless in trying to chase him, screaming 'WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU RUNNING!? STOP PLEASE-"
Full on panicking and like really angry as well because this is a man he loves and cares about running away from him for no reason
Then all it takes is for him to look down into a puddle and he sees why Innes was running and he freezes. Whatever is left of his eyes widen and tears begin to pool before streaming down his face as his body starts convulsing and shaking with sobs and he falls to the ground, weak with anguish and distress.
Innes tries to go to him but Muir keeps scrambling away, terrified of hurting him or worse. He just keeps mumbling to Innes "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it-" and Innes just feels his heart breaking as he kneels beside where Muir is hiding and he just holds his hand out for Muir to take whenever he is ready, and he just comforts him. He describes the light and what good there is left of where they are right now.
He doesn't force him. He just keeps talking and reminds him that he will be alright. Muir eventually crawls out to be beside Innes and Innes gently holds his head and comforts him while Muir is still crying lightly.
