idk i just feel there is a significance in johan telling jan suk his name was anna? because he's not framing nina, who doesn't even get tangled up in that plotline in the first place. he is the only person who really refers to nina as anna anyway.

it's so complicated, but i don't believe it's a lie, when he gives jan this name. he is not pretending to be his sister. he's pretending to be the person they were, the both of them, when they had to pretend to be the same child. that is who anna is. you are me and i am you is anna. it is their mother's name as well. anna is not johan's core identity that he is missing (his true name) and it's not nina's core identity either. but it is as close as johan can possibly get to a core identity. it's a layer down from being johan, because before he was johan him and nina were both anna.

and when escaping jan's affections (little too quick there buddy!!) he lets him have this name. and i just think. that's significant when viewing how johan could have viewed suk, to share him a secret so intimate, even if he can't respond to his romantic advances.
