Shawn and Jules, high school AU. Also, because I have needs, Doctor and Sarah, cop AU. Yes, I demand much of you Ace...
(I will write any and all things. Jenn just gave me like six. Two from you is no skin off my back.)
Shawn Spencer, genius extraordinaire, had met Juliet O'Hara by accident. He had been rushing to his grade 12 math course (he was in grade 10) when he accidentally knocked her over. She looked so pretty, he swore she was a cheerleader. He helped her up and told her his name. She smiled back and told him hers, and that she was a ninth grader looking for a certain class. He helped her find it and never really stopped thinking about her.
The next time they met was in the cafeteria. Shawn was sitting with his best friend Gus and that really stern eleventh grader Carlton and he noticed Juliet sitting alone. He got up and invited her to sit with them, essentially sealing their friendship.
Over the next three years (Shawn stayed for 12x, the nerd), they became really close friends. They started dating a year after they met and had a few falling outs. Nothing really major, just some stupid rumor spread by Shawn's ex, Abigail Lytar. Juliet thought it was true, but Shawn quickly tld her it wasn't.
After high school, they went to college together to become police officers, but Shawn dropped out, saying police work wasn't his thing.

London, England.... Home of some really great things, like Harry Potter and bad telly. Also home of the weirdest police team ever.
Sarah Jane Smith was determined, job-oriented and serious.
Her partner, John Smith (no relation), was an oddball. He was quirky and claimed to be psychic.
Their DI, Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart, let his quirks slide because he was a damn good cop. Every crime that came to the pair was solved, no matter the amount of evidence.
Their junior detective, Clyde Langer, was a joker, and started an in-office betting pool as to when they got together because Jesus Christ the tension.
Luke, Sarah Jane's younger brother and the office techie, had six quid on the end of the year and his partner, Sanjay, had four on the next two months. Both boys were wrong. No one was right, actually.
They had been together, under-the-radar, since they were first partnered up, four years prior. There's was an anti-frat rule (rule 12), so they were ducking things by keeping all PDA strictly off the job. That is, until the incident.
The Incident (yes, capitals), involved a crazy serial killer.
It was the middle of December, and Sarah Jane and Luke were out Christmas shopping for the team's annual party. They had just left a shop, sadly bagless, when they were ambushed. Luke immediately pulled his gun, hoping to defend his older sister, but failed miserably as the attack knocked him up side the head with a crowbar and knocked him out. When he came to, he was in a hospital bed, hysterical that he couldn't help his sister. John was in the room with him, hoping to question him. He had to keep up the facade of worried partner instead of frantic lover. Luke sadly told him he didn't see the attacker's face. John left the room, heading to the scene.
Meanwhile, Sarah Jane was bound and gagged in a basement somewhere, just coming to from being drugged. She began to struggle, trying to break free of the bonds. Alas, she couldn't, so she began to scream. It was muffled by the gag, but it caught the attention of the attacker. He was slim and blonde, dressed in dark jeans and a black hoodie. Was that a.. red dog collar around his neck? He approached her with a sadistic grin. "Ah, Miss Smith. You're awake." he said. There was... something it his voice. It was some next-level creepiness. He knelt down next to her and pulled at her collar. "I've had my eye on you for a while. The perfect woman, really. Beautiful, self-sufficient, single."
She tried to make a biting remark about not being single, but it was drowned out by the gag. The assailant just smirked, standing back up.
Elsewhere, John was surveying the scene, picking up in the smallest details. The size 12 men's bootprint in the snow. The place where Luke fell and the bloodspatter around it. The drag marks that were undoubtedly caused by an unconscious Sarah. His heart clenched at the thought of Sarah, unconscious and vulnerable.
He continued surveying, finding a small scrap of fabric that seemed to be ripped off someone's clothes on a fence nearby. He pulled some latex gloves out of his pocket and pulled it off. It had a few stray epithelials on it, possibly from the attacker, as witnesses had said he came this way. He slipped it in a bag and headed for the lab. The lab tech, Liz Shaw, ran the fabric and the DNA and got a match. Harold Saxon. He was in the system for spousal abuse (turned in by is ex-wife Lucille) and attempted kidnapping. Rage settled itself on John's face as he left the lab. He grabbed Clyde and dragged him to the nearest computer, sitting him down and telling him to get a location on Harold Saxon.
Sarah Jane was still terrified as the gag was removed. She let out a whimper as Harold forced himself on her in the form of a snog. He tried to deepen it, but Sarah Jane had enough nerve and movement to pull away, nearly spitting in his face.
"Don't worry." Harold snarled, "you'll warm up to me."
"Not likely. Not my type." Sarah Jane said angrily.
"Oh, is that so?" Harold sneered.
"Yes. I don't go for narcissists with sexual assault issues." Sarah Jane said.
Harold snarled at her, much like an angry dog, and retied the gag, just a little bit tighter. She would come around. They all did.
Back at the station, Clyde had managed to lock down on a location and grabbed his gun, heading out with John to the address in Chiswick. They arrived in record time, not even bothering with knocking, just picking the lock and entering silently, guns raised. They entered the basement, door squeaking as it opened.
"Who's there?" Harold called.
"Scotland Yard." John called back.
"Oh hoo hoo, the police. What are you going to do? You shoot me, I shoot Miss Smith here." Harold said.
John and Clyde entered the basement properly, taking in the sight in front of them. Sarah Jane was bound and gagged on the wall, about six inches up. Her shirt looked torn around the neckline, her bra clearly visible. Unbridled anger swelled up inside John seeing that. He went into defense mode, kicking Harold behind the knees and cuffing him while Clyde untied Sarah Jane and slowly helped her to the floor. John handed Harold to Clyde and went to support Sarah Jane, who immediately grabbed hold of him. They exited the house, Harold kicking and screaming. He was roughly shoved in the back of the police car, Clyde getting in alongside him to keep him silent. John got in the driver seat, Sarah Jane the passenger. The ride by to the Yard was silent.
When they arrived, Clyde brought Harold to lockup and Sarah Jane insisted on going inside to grab her stuff first before being brought to the hospital.
Sarah Jane quickly grabbed her stuff, making her way back to John, who was standing at the edge of the crowded squadroom. The people in the room didn't matter right now, she thought, standing on her toes and giving John a soft, meaningful kiss. A small cheer could be heard from Sanjay and Jack near the back.
The kiss broke after a few seconds, Sarah Jane wrapping John in a tight hug, head leaning against his chest.
"Thank you for finding me." she whispered.
"Of course, Sarah." John replied softly.
"I love you." she whispered back.
"I love you too." he muttered, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head.
