You were flying fast, where you were headed to you didn't know. All you knew was that you needed to get somewhere far away, far away from everyone, far away from him.

Jake has never yelled at you like that, getting scoldings was one thing, but that, that was worst than anything you could've ever imagine.

"You aren't enough, no training will ever make you good enough."

His words kept playing over and over again like a broken record player in your head. 'So that's how he really feels about me, not good enough, not a good warrior, not a good person, not a good daughter' your thoughts were taking you into a dark and depressing place.

You didn't even see it coming, to you to blinded by your own depressing thoughts. It wasn't until you heard littles squacks from Na'yi that you looked up.

A big, flying, metal device headed right for you, you knew what they were. You over heard your father in a meeting telling spotters to call in when they see helicopters and to strike them down immediately. And what helicopter meant was sky people, and they were headed right for you.

i just read busted and OMG could you please do a little blurb on how jake and neytiri would react to their daughter dating ao’nung pls😭🙏🏻

jake couldn't believe his ears. he always knew this day would come, but he had no idea it would come this fast — his sweet little girl has fallen in love. and now, the boy was right in front of him, having the audacity to ask if he could date her.

“so. let me see if heard this right.” he pointed to ao’nung. “you. and my daughter are interested in each other.”

“you are correct, sir.”

“and you want to date her.”

your boyfriend swallowed hard. he never realised how scary the former toruk makto could be until now, looking at him like he just said the most absurd thing in the whole world. he knew jake was overprotective over his daughters, but ao'nung thought he could handle the situation pretty well. he was wrong.

“ma’jake.” now it was your mothers turn to speak, ao’nung hoping that she would ease the situation. “he is a good boy. he and our children used to get in trouble but it's all teenager bickering. let them be.”

your father frowned, looking at the metkayina up and down. “don't get too comfortable. keep your hands to yourself, boy. you better not hurt my daughter. you don't want to see me angry.”

“oh, i definitely don't.” he thought.

neytiri, on the other hand, gave a big smile to ao'nung. she couldn't be happier for her daughter. she was happy she was finally finding home in the new village; maybe you all could be happy here after all. “be true, boy. you've got a precious heart in your hands. she deserves the best.”

“i know, ma’am. don't worry. i really like your daughter.”

“i know you do. she's probably waiting for you, go meet her.”

and with that, ao’nung left with a quick “i see you” gesture, his heart beating so fast he could swear he was going into cardiad arrest. going to your encounter, you were surrounded by your siblings. as soon as you spotted him you got up. “stay here! don't make me beat your asses.”

“so? how did it go?”

“i think your dad doesn't like me too much. but he kind of approved i guess."

you smiled, a heavy weight leaving your shoulders. “he'll warm up to you in no time! don't worry.” giving the boy a hug, you could hear your siblings teasing you in the background; but you couldn't care less. you didn't have to hide anymore.

“well, now it's time for you to meet my parents.”

oh shit.

authors note; sorry if this isn't good i wrote this in under twenty minutes at a family's barbecue with one and a half beer cans in my system lol anyways i hope you like it 🫶🏻

Sully’s Stick Together

summary : You and your twin refuse to leave your siblings behind when they're in danger (Neteyam x twin! reader) (sully! reader) (platonic)

You were flying on your ikran with your parents and twin when you heard Lo’ak’s voice in your transmitter trying to contact your dad. They were at the old shack and in danger.

Your eyes widened when you heard Lo’ak say Tuk was with them. You could see Neteyam shake his head at his younger brother's words. You flew closer to him “Isn’t this the second time this week we had to save him?” you try and joke “That skxawng will never learn will he” he replies.

You all landed in a clear spot near the old shack, your father told you both to stay back, you both argued but the look on his face made you shut up.

You turned and hopped back on your ikran, you saw Neteyam wasn’t moving and just watching your parents disappear into the forest, you knew that look “Nete come on you heard what dad said” irritation in your voice.

He turned to you “You really think I’m going to leave, (y/n) our siblings are out there in danger, Tuk is with them.”

He knew how protective you were of Tuk, of course you didn’t want to leave but your father told you to. You were torn between listening to my father and helping your siblings. Neteyam saw how hard you were thinking, “Come on (y/n) you don’t always have to be the golden child” he smirked and extended his hand to you.

“Says the golden boy himself,” you said while swatting his hand away. You groaned hopped off your ikran and grabbed your bow “fine come on let's go” you both ran in the direction your parents went in.

Your ears twitched when you heard your mothers calls and you could tell you were getting closer to them. “Let's split up, I’ll go towards mom and you take the other side, don't try to make that much noise okay. We’re just getting our siblings and leaving, leave the killing to dad and mom.” you instructed, he nodded in response.

You grabbed his arm and he turned to you “And be careful okay?” You said. You always got nervous when you’d both be on missions. He smiled and took one of his hands to the back of your head and kissed your forehead “I will, stay safe little sister.” you smiled and nodded, he always had to remind you that he was the older one.

With that you both went your separate ways. You saw your mother hiding behind a large tree. You got angry at the scene in front of you, your siblings were being held by their braids by other na’vi? No, you knew better, they had sky people clothing, they were avatars.

You heard Kiri’s voice, she knew your mom was in the tree, one of the avatars told her to shut up and pushed Kiri slightly away, that's when an arrow shot him right in his face. Kiri got loose and immediately ran away. Kiri saw you and ran towards you “(y/n) I can’t find spider,” anxiety and concern in her tone, “It’s okay, it’s okay” you say while checking her body for any injuries.

“I’m fine (y/n), we should go look for Tuk, I saw her go that way” Kiri takes your hand and runs in the direction she saw Tuk go in. Your ears twitch when you heard a fimlioar scream, ‘Tuk’ you thought, you pulled Kiri in the direction of Tuk’s scream.

You saw Tuk with one of the avatar’s, Tuk hissed at them, you took out your bow and aimed an arrow at the avatar's head. The Avatar lunged at Tuk trying to grab her, not before you shot the Avatar right between their eyes. Tuk screamed, “Tuk it's okay, come here” you and Kiri came out of the bushes.

As soon as Tuk saw you she ran into your arms, you picked her up, and she hid her face in your chest. Tuk was shaking “it’s okay Tuk, you’re okay” you said placing your hand on her head brushing her hair back trying to calm her down.

‘Thank you great mother’ you said a silent prayer to Eywa in your head. You could hear more Avatar coming, “Kiri come on let's go” you said taking her hand. You ran back to where you left your ikran, you ran into your mother on the way.

Neytiri looked at you “I thought your father and I told you and your brother to stay back” she said not happy with your disobedience. “And I thought Sully’s stick together” you shot back at her. Neytiri’s gaze softens by your words.

Neytiri looks at Tuk in your arms and realizes the reality of the situation, she could have lost her children. Neytiri pulled Kiri along with you and Tuk into a hug and kissed each of your heads, she looked at all of you “Let’s go find your father and brothers” she instructed, she took Tuk from you and hopped on her ikran.

You nodded and got on your ikran pulling Kiri on with you. As you took off Neytiri stared at you and smiled softly at the thought that came to her ‘definitely a Sully’
