I’m becoming obnoxiously obsessed with this man again.
I’ve been crushing on him for so long that sometimes I forget just how much I like him.
I kinda want to write a fanfic…
However If I do it’s gonna be MESSY

Okay so the fact that I got a ‘matching’ picture of Till and Spencer is wild!

Like no joke I’m 28 and they are
Till: 63
Sully: 58
Papa V: 45
Spencer: 40
Okay so Papa V and Spencer aren’t as bad as I thought lmao.
My taste in men are your father’s and Grandfather’s lmao
Sully & Sully
Years ago, when I've learnt that Godsmack's singer is called Sully, this big guy came to my mind from Monster Inc xD I know that the singer's real name is Salvatore and Sully's real name is Sullivan, but their nicknames are the same.
Also, the singer isn't really the tallest man on Earth (he is 5'5 if I know it well, the same height as me xD) and the big guy is around 7', so I tried to give back the height differences. And Sully being confused by the singer's small size was needed to be the theme of this picture XD
I hope you like it!
Godsmack - S/T
When I say I like certain albums or bands, I like them for different reasons, or I like them for one main reason. There are bands that I like for their vocalists, because the vocals are the best part of those bands / artists. There are artists whose lyrics I really like, even if everything else is either just good or okay. What I wanted to focus on today is when I like a band’s sound over anything else, and I have a good example of that right off the bat — Godsmack. I’ve never talked about these guys, nor have I ever listened to them, but I’ve gotten curious to check them out through seeing their 1998 debut album at Walmart, so I decided to finally check it out. It was cheap, so why not, right? I’ve heard they’re pretty good, especially this album, but I didn’t know much about them, other than that their debut is a seminal record within alt-metal, nu-metal, and hard-rock of the era.
After listening to the record a few times, I’m of the mind that I like this album a good bit, but mainly for their sound. I don’t really care for Sully Erna as a vocalist, and that’s not to say he sucks, but it’s to say that he isn’t interesting. His vocals don’t quite fall flat, but he sounds like a poor man’s Scott Stapp of Creed (I’ve got some Creed to talk about soon, too, and I can’t wait to do that). He has that gravely voice, but he just doesn’t do anything with it. He sounds the same on each song, and it just feels boring, but I don’t dislike it. There are some really cool riffs, solos, and moments on the album that make me engaged with it, but the vocals and lyrics don’t do much for me. I like listening to them, but I get more from the sound than any of the vocals or lyrics.
The album’s other biggest issue is how long it is; at 55 minutes, minus a couple minutes of silence that leads into a hidden track, it feels very bloated and longwinded. It ends up becoming kind of forgettable, at least within certain songs, and I’m just tired of the album, despite liking it fine. I just have other albums that I would rather be listening to, like those Creed albums, for example. Godsmack’s self-titled debut is a good album, but it’s not a great one. It’s an album that has kind of fallen to the wayside over time, as it’s a bit dated. It’s not the bad kind of dated, but you can have a good idea of when this album was released, just from how the band sounds and how their vocalist sounds. I don’t know, folks; if you like 90s nu-metal and hard-rock, it’s worth hearing, but you aren’t missing anything if you don’t bother to check it out.
I'll confess this: you're my tragedy
Godsmack Rocked the Hell out of the Grand Theatre, and Frontman Sully stole everyone's heart with his Scars Foundation dedication stories. Check out my review and gallery on www.soundchecksf.com
