The Sultane Saliha (1862-1941), Daughter of the Sultan of Turkey 1872

Carte-de-visite photograph of the Sultane Saliha of Turkey. Her body is shown in three quarter view, facing towards the left of the image whilst she turns her head towards the right of the image. She is shown standing and rests her hands on the back of an elaborately carved wooden and upholstered chair on the left hand side of the scene. She is wearing a traditional Turkish dress which is highly decorated with ruffled edging and bows. She also wears a tiara. She is approximately ten years old.

A western view about what a Sultana would wear and look like, it seems inaccurate to me because a Sultana would not tie her head with a simple scarf and put a rose on top of it with this very obvious western hairstyle. But! A for effort.
