Resident.rec Update | DJ Asafa *ANNOUNCEMENT, Sum0 N3RD LP release and more..
▪Just weeks after releasing his debut album, our very own DJ Asafa announces his hiatus...This is what he had to say - I have an announcement. "I will be taking a long break from music" & i guess you are wondering why. Well as you know I am EDM artist, i built my production skills around Electronic Dance Music, & currently in the edm world there is a big confusion between what is dance music & pop. Edm is going through a phase. At the same time i can not come to a point where by i can see my own unique sound, As well as seeing my genre. I am caught up between,Trance, Deep House & Electro House. I need this break inorder to identify those aspects. Now most importantly. I myself am not happy with my own productions, I believe they are not meeting a professional standard. So during my break there will be intensive production & practice including development of my mastering skills & even live production. I will also be on the look out for the current international music & well analysing the production of those tracks, so that i may base my ideas from that. So then it feels like a whole new start, I feel as though people should forget my previous productions, because i believe i will be returning with a whole new fresh sound. God willing. I estimate my break will be until November 2015. & i will be definatly returning with a big single. But do not worry, I will be working with many other artists. There are even plans to feature on another artist album. I will also be dropping a few mixes. So infact it will feel as if i have not left. This break is to develope my own original productions. This includes, Singles, Remixes & Albums. & thats about it." #Godbless *So a break won't be much of a break at all ;) Thank you all for supporting our music, and we ask that you keep praying for the label and it's artists. We have done loads of amazing things while still so little, but we still have a maaajjor way to go. A special thanks to an in-house company, 'Cognitive Structures' who handles the task of developing design concepts and materialising artwork plots for our artists, who also did a fantastic job in creating the artwork for the SANDBOX. album.
